ISO 14001

Did you think that small companies can't achieve recognised environmental standards? Did you think that they are not important to your business?

ISO 14001, the recognised international standard, is increasingly demanded by customers and already a requirement for most Government or Local Authority projects.

It has a small number of steps :

  • How do your activities impact on the environment?
  • Set targets to reduce your impact
  • Document your procedures
  • Show that you follow them

Examples of targets could include :

  • Buy raw materials from local sources
  • Reduce your use of energy and water
  • Reduce your waste

We will work with you to set priorities and realistic targets. We will ensure that your procedures and documents achieve the required standards. You will probably uncover some useful cost savings.

For small companies we offer the alternative BS8555 standard. This is independently certified as stages are completed and can be assessed to ISO 14001 at the end.

What’s in it for you?

  • Independent recognition of your commitment
  • A marketing edge
  • Reduced waste and costs

Projects are often eligible for funding. We can investigate this and apply on your behalf.
