REACH Late Pre-Registration

Are you manufacturing or importing a chemical for the first time?

Are you a non-EU manufacturer supplying a new customer?

Although the pre-registration window closed to existing suppliers on 30th November 2008, it is still possible under certain conditions for new suppliers to take advantage of an extension to the pre-registration deadline.

The supplier must meet all of the following conditions (REACH Article 28.6).

  • They have not previously manufactured or imported the chemical in quantities of more than 1 tpa.
  • They are not making, importing or supplying into the EU more than 1000 tpa of the chemical.
  • The chemical is not a carcinogen, a mutagen or toxic for reproduction.
  • They are not responsible for more than 100 tpa of a chemical that meets critical environmental toxicity and/or bioaccumulation conditions – classified as R50/53
  • They have applied for the pre-registration within six months of starting their activity.

We can investigate if your company and product may be eligible for a late pre-registration and make applications on your behalf.
